All our timber beams come from wood locally sourced from the Devon area, dried in our kiln on request, and cut to a size of your request.
We cut our timber into roof shingles, cladding, lintels, and mantelpieces, all coming from locally sourced English Oak, Sweet Chestnut, Sitka Spruce, and Douglas Fir beams, specific to your requests.
We recommend that you contact us to order all your beams to ensure their availability, our beams include:
English Oak (Up To 7.5m in Length and 400/400mm)
Sweet Chestnut (Up To 6m in Length and 400x400 mm)
Sitka Spruce (Up To 7.5m in Length and 400x400 mm)
Douglas Fir (Up To 7.5m in Length and 300x300 mm)
English Ash (Up to 7.5m and 400x400 mm)
For the pricing of a singular beam, we use the calculation of length x width x height and x 1100 for Douglas Fir, x 1200 for Western Red Cedar, x 1500 for Sweet Chestnut, and x 2000 for Oak £1750 for English Ash £2000 for English Beech
With that in mind, a piece of wood 2m long x 300mm wide and 200mm would cost you:
2 x 0.3 x 0.2 x 1100 = £132.00 for Douglas Fir
2 x 0.3 x 0.2 x 1200=£144.00 for Western red cedar
2 x 0.3 x 0.2 x 1500=£180.00 for Sweet Chestnut
2 x 0.3 x 0.2 x 2000=£240.00 for English Oak
2x 0.3 x 0.2 x 1750 = £210.00 for English Ash.
2x 03 x 0.2 x 2000= £240.00 for English Beech
This is just a guide for sandard sizes but will give you some idea of price
